The Career Foundation’s A-LINC Centre will assess your English language skills and refer you to the most suitable LINC Service Providing agency in York Region. LINC classes are free and range from basic literacy to advanced levels of study. With program flexibility, classes are available full time, part time, during the day or evening. Clients will be assessed up to LINC level 7.
The Home Study component of LINC is available on line or through correspondence, and will benefit those who are unable to participate in traditional day time classes. Some of our schools provide free childminding and/or a transportation allowance.
Who is Eligible?
- Newcomers 18 years of age or older
- Landed Immigrants
- Convention Refugees
- Those allowed to remain in Canada with government intent to grant permanent resident status
